W. Richard Cox, Partner (Licensed in NC and SC)

Richard Cox earned his J.D. Degree from North Carolina Central University in 2001. Mr. Cox soon joined a large law firm. Mr. Cox believed that in starting his own practice, he could be more effective in helping people deal with a variety of legal issues. In 2005, Mr. Cox founded Cox Law PLLC. Since then, Mr. Cox has represented numerous clients in North Carolina and South Carolina.  In 2009, Mr. Cox teamed up with Denise Watts to form Cox & Watts PLLC.  Cox & Watts PLLC has allowed Mr. Cox to fully realize his passion for helping people at all levels of litigation and protection.

Mr. Cox is active in a number of professional organizations including the Brunswick County Bar Association, a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, and a member of the 13th Judicial District Bar.  Richard treats every client with respect and integrity.

Denise Watts, Partner (Licensed in NC)

Denise Watts received her J.D. Degree from North Carolina Central University in 2002.  After successfully completing the North Carolina bar exam, Ms. Watts joined a general practice firm in Wake County, North Carolina where she practiced law in five counties:  Wake, Johnston, Nash, Franklin, and Wilson.  This experience gave Ms. Watts a wealth of trial experience.  In 2006, Ms. Watts moved to Brunswick County to practice law.  Ms. Watts practiced law and acted as General Counsel/In House Attorney for two years.  In 2007, Ms. Watts founded Watts Law Offices PC.  In 2009, Ms. Watts teamed up with Richard Cox to form Cox & Watts PLLC.  Ms. Watts is recognized as an aggressive and effective litigator. Each client's case is treated with exceptional care and attention.

Ms. Watts is an active member of  the following professional organizations including the Brunswick County Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association, and a member of the 13th Judical District Bar.  Denise treats every client with respect and integrity.

Joy Easley, Associate Attorney (Licensed in NC)

Joy Easley received her J.D. from North Carolina Central University in 2009. After successfully passing the North Carolina bar exam, Ms. Easley joined the District Attorney’s Office, 13th Prosecutorial District, Brunswick County office. She was employed as an Assistant District Attorney for a year and a half prior to coming to Cox & Watts. This association with Cox & Watts will allow Ms. Easley to use her courtroom experiences to assist clients with their legal situations.

Ms. Easley is active in a number of professional organizations including the Brunswick County Bar Association, a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, and a member of the 13th Judicial District Bar. Ms. Easley treats all persons with the utmost care and respect.

Henri Day, NCCP

Henri Day is the paralegal for Cox & Watts PLLC.  Mrs. Day is a North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal.  Mrs. Day has over thirteen years of experience in residential real estate closings.
